Spring is Here!
We had a beautiful Saturday. The sun was shining all day and it was soooo warm. We spent the entire day outside playing, working and soaking it up. We were able to get into the garden to plant peas, spinach, lettuce and radishes. This is a photo of my 'city-boy' man getting into the garden for the first time. I think he actually said, "This is some really good dirt." WHAT??? If you know my husband, that has to crack you up. The man had never even mowed a lawn until we were married. Gardening was nowhere on the radar - not even a blip. Hmmmm . . . I think he's starting to like it here.
After the yard work was done, the kids spent the rest of the day in the pond, canoeing and traveling back and forth to the island to build their treehouse. They found this guy earlier in the week hanging out in the yard and gave him a ride back to the pond in a bucket. They have had such a blast out there and I must say I'm a tiny bit jealous. I wonder if they know how great it is to have your own pond?
Here's little Miss 'G' barefoot and sassy and ready for a ride in the sunshine. She is truly a summer baby and LOVES the outdoors. It is so much fun to have a little one this age again. She's just taking it ALL in right now. Love, love, love it! She had her well visit and TB test for the home study agency today and was a trooper. One down, six to go!
